What to do when...
A Childhood Illness Seminar
At Empowering Education we understand that you love where you live and that you love your children more than anything in the world, but when illness strikes in a rural location it is not always easy to know what to do and how to manage it. It can be hard to know whether your child’s symptoms are serious. It is also not always easy to know what you can do at home to support them through the illness, to identify when they are deteriorating and when to access medical services.
The aim of the ‘What to do when…’ childhood illness seminar is to empower you with evidence based knowledge from health professionals, build your confidence to be able to make good decisions for your family and take positive actions for your child’s health and wellbeing.
You will hear and learn from leading health experts, such as Paediatricians; Intensive Care Paramedic from St John; Helicopter rescue teams; Emergency Department staff; Paediatric Nurse Specialists; Mindfuness experts and other Doctors and Nurses. We will provide you with the chance to take part in hands on workshops, covering wound care, CPR, seizures and choking.
We'd love to see you at the Lake Wanaka Centre, Saturday 30 July 2016.
