Empowering Education is a leading health education provider in New Zealand, offering two streams of education; general public and health professional.
GENERAL PUBLIC
We are passionate about improving communities' knowledge and skills in the area of health and illnesses. We seek to empower people through education so that they are able to manage their own health issues and access the services they need for positive health outcomes. To help people understand when things are okay and when they are not and educate on who to go to and how to access the right kind of help.
Our experience in the healthcare industry identified that many individuals and families battle at home with illnesses. In many circumstances, people try to manage and delay accessing medical services until they are significantly unwell. Often this approach to managing illness results in more extensive interventions being required and at times relocation to larger hospitals.
People have a range of reasons why they do not access services. We want to help fill up their tool box with quality health education, provide some simple skills and interventions that can be done at home, as well as highlight some red flags for when to seek medical care. We want to provide health and illness information to a wide variety of people to help them better manage their own, or their child’s illness, health and wellbeing.
HEALTH PROFESSIONALS
We seek to empower health professionals through our on site education programmes. Based on the belief that knowledge is power, being educated and challenged forces growth and development and leads to an increase in job satisfaction, reduced staff turnover rate and cohesion within teams of health professionals.
We aim to improve workplace morale, increase job satisfaction, strengthen team cohesion, improve confidence and motivate staff to reach their full potential both as practitioners and individuals. We deliver educational concepts in a modern, fun and interactive style. Our modern workshops are infused with international research and provide attendees with educational concepts that are based on best practice standards.
Regardless of location, we seek to reduce healthcare providers' educational expenditure by bringing high quality education to your door step. We believe in reducing the geographical barriers to education. Not only do we provide a wide variety of clinical and academic workshops, we also work with you to develop customised education to match your staff groups needs.
HEALTH SEMINARS
Empowering Education is proud to present exciting and innovative health education seminars around New Zealand. We specialise in delivering health education to rural, semi rural and urban communities on a wide variety of topics.
Each one of our seminars brings together some of the country’s leading experts in health and illness, as well as local and regional health professionals. Through sharing knowledge and experiences in health and illness we generate a comprehensive educational day that will empower you through increased knowledge and confidence in health related issues and decision making.
Founded on the principle of breaking down the barriers to access accurate, reliable and evidence based health
and illness information. We aspire to deliver appropriate education on a range of health topics in a language that you understand. We will build your knowledge base up by providing you with practical and useful information, as well as share ideas that can help you make good decisions for yourself and your family during challenging times. Excitingly, all of our seminars not only have expert health professional speakers, but we also provide a variety of practical skills workshops throughout the day to further develop your knowledge and skill base.
